dont know when this is from... but this is some fact about him

Home:
recently all repairers work in his Moscow apartment was finished at last and Dima removed to a new place. Its very specious and light. He also has property in Sochi. He recently bought a flat for his parents in Kolomna (small, quite town not far from Moscow) for they could be closer (they live in Kabardino-Balkaria Republic-on the south of Russia)

Auto: BMW 320, of late - Hummer H3
He drives himself as far as possible, but lately hes with driver.

Mobile phone: Nokia N70 - not anymore, I think ?

Last purchase: a professional digital camera Canon Eos 5 (3000$), now is taking interesting pics with enthusiasm during his concert tour.

Weight: 68kg
Height: 182cm

Hobby: collecting different hats, original, from different countries belts (it's still his passion)

Spare time:
When he has a free day (very rarely) he tries to make up for lost sleep (sleep off), there are also other entertainments (meeting with friends for example)but theres nothing better for him at the moment then simply lie for some time on the divan.

Favorite brands: Desquared, D&G.
He took part in fashion show of famous designer Masha Cigal and Sudarianto
(Russian Fashion week 2004).
Dima will participate soon in Desquared fashion show as a model.

Girls he likes: striking, sincere, that know their own worth, inaccessible a little, with enigmatic eyes

Music:
In his childhood he liked - Modern Talking, Boney M, The Beatles, Vyssotskiy, Pugacheva, Rotaru. Then he took a great interest in American music, basically in soul and R'n'B style: Whitney Huston (he even had her portrait on the wall, you can see it in Ty, tolko ty clip), Mariah Carey, Craig David, Simply Red, Alicia Keys. Has a great collection of musical CDs, finds inspiration in ethno and national music of different countries: French, Cuban, Indian(he usually buys it in his trips).
Now in Dimas traveling bag: his own 3 album, Okean Elzi (Ukrainian rock band), Sting.
In last interview after visiting Baikal Lake he said: best music for me is silence and murmur of the forest.

Favorite Russian film: " " (old soviet comedy),
Foreigner film: "Jurors", likes all Almadovar's films.

Favorite books: Paolo Coelio "Alchemist", Michail Bulgakov.( the autor of Master and Margarita) is always actual for him.

Favorite dish: his moms goloubtsi (stuffed cabbage rolls), adores kefir, the rest is simply a food for him, he isn't unpretentious, doesnt like coffee prefers a tea, have no special diet: eats a little (for lack of time), but right food that he considers useful.

Sport:
has no time to go to a gym, though likes a pool, the stage for me is the best training, I move much during my concerts so that all muscles work. Dima changes some shirts for a concert - they become absolutely wet.

Original habits: friends call me Ihtiandr (amphibian-man) I can wake up in the morning, go to have a bath and fall asleep there again, one time I even inundated my neighbors because of that.

Shortcomings:
he's often late, sometimes absent-minded, "Im a spendthrift, can't save money", he happened to be obstinate and impulsive.

What are you afraid most of all?
Dima: loneliness.

Is anything in life you believe piously in?
In human reincarnation and in existence of smth indescribable that probably decides our fate. All returns to us as boomerang: both good and evil...

Main principle in life: never stop at what has been accomplished.

Yana Rudkovskaya: Dima is extremely tactful and modest, theres not a bit of that star fever in him, hes very vulnerable man, doesnt admit anybody to his soul. Even I dont know a lot about him. But Im sure hes ready to do anything for those he loves.

Oikotimes: Dima, how did you decide to become a singer?
Dima Bilan: Well, it's the ordinary story. I started singing since I was a little child and I always knew that I would do this job. I started with poems at the nursery school, I took part in the school's choir (I was also a soloist) and I played the accordion. Later went to Moscow to study at the music academy.

Oikotimes: How did the Russian television chose you to represent Russia this year at the Eurovision?
Dima Bilan: I had also taken part in last year's Russian preselection(with take me with you) and I came second. This year the Russian television made an internal selection and they chose me among three other singers: Varvara, Jasmin and Arianna.

Oikotimes: If you win this year's constest, where would you want it to be held next year?
Dima Bilan: Have you ever been to Moscow? I would like to see the contest organized in Moscow. I would invite all of you and I would show you the sights and the places I grew up in. Moscow is a big and beautiful city with a great history.

Oikotimes: A tough question now... Anna Vissi or Helena Paparizou?
Dima Bilan: Well, I don't want to answer, I don't want to betray any woman...( awww, he's to sweet! )

Oikotimes: Why do you think that the Europeans will vote for Russia at the Eurovision this year?
Dima Bilan: Well, there have been a lot of changes in my life recently and I can say that my song is something like my autobiography. I want to go on stage and tell people my story. And I hope that my story will touch some people's souls.

Oikotimes: What about your performance on stage?
Dima Bilan: We have a lot of time to prepare the performance, so we'll have a great show. There will be a ballet, like on the video with a great choreography.

Oikotimes: How was your career until now and what are your plans after the contest?
Dima Bilan: I have released two albums until now and there are two more albums in both Russian and English to be released after the contest. After I was chosen to represent Russia in the contest I had a lot of work to do, so the release of my albums was postponed after the contest. No matter the results of the constest I am going to do my best to promote my album and here, I would like to thank everyone who supported me and still support me.(it's with pleasure )

Interwiev about Yuri

I understood it was a chance not to be missed and I just began singing. He noticed me. Knowing that there were thousands of hopefuls like me, Yuri Shmilevich Aizenshpis gave me his telephone number. Later we met in the studio.

After Dima had sung his song, everyone acknowledged his extraordinary talent. Next stage was the Jurmala festival.

On 20 September, at the age of 61, Yuri Shmilevich Aizenshpis died from heart attack.

I am grateful to Yuri Shmilevich for everything he had done for me, says Dima. He was a great person and producer. He made a huge impression on my life and career.

Dima's scars
If you ask Dima Bilan about scars on his body, you will listen him for many hours. One scar he has on his knee, because he fell on the ground when he was playing in the street in childhood. He fell and took a drive on his knee. His second scar is on his shoulder, he got it recently. He fell and stroke his shoulder against the edge of the shield with publicity. Also he has the scar on his forehead, where he has his hair. In the childhood my sister hurt me with wooden bear(toy)- says Dima.

Interesting fact: Dima likes to bring home different unusual things: for example, stumps of trees
Hobby: collecting of belts, hats and music CDs
Quotation: I write the diary. I fix there important events and different emotions, which connected with them. It is interesting to see how much you change, what you achieve in life after some time
