The Russian winter festival in London.

This weekend huge crowds of people are gathering on Trafalgar Sq while celebrating The Russian winter festival the annual event which is taking place in the very center of the city. Owing to the festival both natives and Russians who came to England have a possibility to enjoy peculiarities of Russian national music, dances, food in full measure. The open event which is going to take place on January 13th will gather hundreds Russian artists dressed up in bright national costumes. They will perform both in pop and folk genres. The show of The Russian National dance and Dima Bilans performance will be the culmination of the evening.

The ceremony of ZD Awards 2008.

The ceremony of presentation of the annual music award ZD Awards set by the column Zvukovaya dorozhka from Moskovskii Komsomolets will take place on the 1st and 2nd of February in the concert hall of Kosmos hotel. Dima Bilan is a leader in the number of nominations (The soloist, The album for his Vremia-reka, and video for Number one fan). In order to make him win it is necessary to give your voice for him on the site of the Zviezdnaya dorozhka http://web.mk.ru/zd-awards/
The winners will be announced on the ceremony!

The names of the brightest Russian people of 2007 are announced.

On January 15, All-Russian center of studying of the social opinion presented their data about who Russian people consider The favourite Russian citizen of 2007. It was mentioned in the center that the initiative inquiry took place on December, 22-23 2007. There were 1600 people questioned in 153 built-up areas in 46 provinces, regions and republics of Russian Federation. The statistical error is not over 3.4%.
The first place with 14% of the voices is occupying Dima Bilan as the singer of the year.
Congratulations!!!

New season of the documental reality show Live with Bilan is starting on MTV! Live with Bilan Mon - Thir at 7 p.m. on MTV. Wed - Fri at 10.30 a.m.
The premiere is on January,29. On MTV!

The annual ceremony of the music award Zvukovaya dorozhka took place on the first days of February.
Dima Bilan got two awards The album of the year (Vremia-reka, 2007) and The soloist of the year.

A new contest!

St Valentines Day is coming!
And this day Dima Bilan hasnt forgotten about the holiday! He has prepared three Valentine cards with his autograph and congratulations for his faithful fans! You can get one of them!
But it is not easy to earn it. Use you fantasy and send Dima your own Valentine card with your greetings and wishes. The card is to be done by your hands or with the help of the computer. You can take a picture of the drawn ones.
Dima is waiting for your cards! The most creative and beautiful cards will be received until February 14(including). Send them by mail valentinka@bilandima.ru
Remember that fantasy is welcomed! All the Valentives will be taken into account!

Victor Belan loose rights to stage name : The star formerly known as Dima Bilan

After a three-year court battle, Viktor Belan lost the right to the stage name Dima Bilan with which he has become hugely known in Russia and Europe. The court decision was issued on Thursday and it rules that the rights to the name, stage act amd entire project of Dima Bilan belong to StarPro agency and the singer has no right to use them any more.
In 2002, young hopeful Viktor Belan signed a contract with producer Yuri Aizenshpis who was, hence, the legal owner of the name, project and stage act of Dima Bilan. After Mr Aizenshpis' death in 2005, the rights were transferred to his legal heirs. Dima Bilan signed a contract with another producer, Yana Rudkovskaya, but Mr Aizenshpis's heirs claimed that he had no right to perform any more as Dima Bilan under the new management. Dima/Viktor on the other hand claimed that he used to use the name Dima Bilan before he signed with Mr Aizenshpis.

After three years in court, it seems now clear that the popular singer will not be able to perform any more as Dima Bilan as the Moscow court ruled on Thursday that his case is groundless and the right of the Dima Bilan stage name belong to the StarPro agency. The singer retains the right to appeal within a month from the court decision.

Dima Bilan represented Russia in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, placing second after Finnish Lordi, and he is bidding again this year.

I am also happy yes:) well, i was cheering for Sergey but at least Dima won:)!! cause that Alexsander would almost won:S Zhenya was also great with Spanish song Porque amor - i love that song:)

He was competing on Eurovision with Dima Bilan name.. so i really don`t know what they have to do know.. i mean can Dima keep his name or what??:D

Dima visits Paris on second last stop

Just for yr info about diman..
With trips to Paris and San Marino, Russian Eurovision Song Contest winner Dima Bilan concludes his Winner's Tour to eight different countries. Yesterday evening, Dima and his team went back to Moscow, to continue the celebrations after his victory in Belgrade.

On Monday, Dima and his entourage travelled from Belgium to the French capital Paris. The programme started early, as Dima was invited to appear in three main radio stations at respectively 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning. According to Bruno Berberes, Head of Delegation on behalf of France Televisions, the three radio interviews with Dima reached "over 10 million people."

In the evening, Dima appeared on Le Grand Journal, one of France's most popular television shows, broadcast by Canal+. He managed to get the audience moving when he was asked to sing something in Russian. Dima also showed another qualify, which is singing opera. The fresh Eurovision Song Contest impressed the studio audience and millions of viewers at home with a short but powerful improvised piece.

Right after the show, and after a swift series of interviews with Russian media at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, Dima and the rest of the Winner's Tour delegation rushed to the airport for the last episode of the tour; San Marino!

Dima Bilan is a champion of Europe in music!

A long expected Russian victory on the international musical contest Eurovision 2008 became a real triumph for the country and Dima Bilan became the explorer of this story the real hero!
According to the rules the winner is going to a two-week promo-tour. It is an obligatory condition which should be done by each artisit who won the contest.
Dima Bilans schedule is filled months ahead.
